Ivy and Smokey Resin Bowtie
Contester for most unusual wood: ivy. this bowtie was made from ivy and smokey resin. The ivy has a strange grain that I absolutely love, and I didn't want to take away from it. I also didn't want to take away from the shape of the piece so I didn't tint the resin too dark. This allowed a cool translucent effect as well as exposing the interesting bends the ivy vine makes.
